This postcard was sent by Dr. John R. Brinkley in 1937 from the Schöbrunn Palace in Vienna to Mrs. Amanda Jackson in East LaPorte, North Carolina. It depicts the birth-room of Emperor Francis-Joseph I, and Brinkley notes that it is a “nice” room, but compares that luxury of the palace to where he and Amanda were from, in the rural mountains of North Carolina.
